Regardless of how and when the Clutterbucks made it to England, there were two distinct branches of the family who settled in Gloucestershire. One branch settled in the parish of  Berkeley. The other settled in the smaller parish of Leonard Stanley. This branch also settled later in the neighbouring parishes of Frampton- on-Severn, Eastington and King’s Stanley.

Our particular line of Clutterbucks came from Bucketts Hill in the parish of Berkeley, so this is where our story begins.
